Albany UU is committed to providing vibrant weekly programming for children and youth, as well as guidance and support for families who want to explore and develop their faith at church or at home.

  see their groups in our Sunday morning programming as places where they are warmly welcomed for who they genuinely are

  learn about and discuss oppression and racism in age appropriate ways, and develop skills to work against racism and oppression, and move with integrity in a multicultural world

  come to value social justice, and develop a strong and guiding internal moral compass

  receive honest, accurate information about sexuality that dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, and improves decision-making

  identify and take advantage of opportunities to practice compassion

  understand our 8 Unitarian Universalist Principles (in simpler language here) and explain why we hold these values

  feel comfortable exploring their spirituality and have a “toolbox” of spiritual practices they can draw from
