Celebrating and thanking Amy Lent for keeping us on track
Amy came to work at Albany UU 16 years ago with a strong background in Communications and her inherently creative, intelligent, and kind manner. She has given us her best, helped our beloved community grow and develop, and now she plans to retire at the end of June. Anyone who has worked and known Amy in any capacity would agree that it’s a positive experience. Managing the office at Albany UU is a busy enterprise that requires much energy to keep our constant engine humming. There are people to accommodate, fires to put out, and the future of the organization to consider in every minute of the operational day (as well as nights and weekends!) We are sad to see Amy leave us as Church Administrator and she will be dearly missed in that capacity. Yet her adventure into this next phase of life is exciting and we can help her make the launch! She likes to party and a party we will give her!
All friends and members of Albany UU are invited to Amy’s retirement party in Community Hall on Friday June 8 from 7:00 – 10:00.(Please see the flyer included at the end of the newsletter.)
While we hope you will simply come, we are also looking for help with decorating, bartending, set-up and clean-up, and contributions of savory appetizers – food without forks, please.
If you would like to donate money toward a gift, we will gladly accept cash or checks at the party, or let Tammy Hathaway in the office know of your intention.
If you plan to come, please RSVP! You can either sign up in Channing Hall or by email to Tammy at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, feel free to contact any of the organizers: Tammy Hathaway, Meredith Mercer, Jan McCracken, Bobbi Place.
