Building a House of Hope with Rev. Trumbore
Six sessions, Nov 6, 13, 27, Dec 4, 11, 18 at 7:00 pm
Deepen your appreciation for our Unitarian Universalist purposes, principles, history, values, and traditions using the excellent book House of Hope by Rebecca Parker and John Buerhens. Parker is former President of Starr King School for the Ministry and Buerhens is former UUA President. Both have deep understanding and love for Unitarian Universalism.
We will use this book as a source for our growth and development as Unitarian Universalists. We will learn what UU can offer our own project of the development of our religious identity and motivate and inform our individual and collective action to respond to the social and political reality of our times. In our heritage, traditions, values and commitments we will find the energy and passion to face and fight injustice and resist the erosion of our democratic principles. We will also find an affirmation of our individual value especially if we are in some way non-conforming.
All classes will be in Room B-8 except December 18, which will be in Room B-7.
Come to any or all sessions.
