Circle Dinner

Circle Dinners are “coordinated potluck” dinners shared by 6 – 9 Albany UU newcomers and old timers, friends and acquaintances of all ages, single or with partners. Our objective is to strengthen our Albany UU family by getting to know each other better while sharing conversation and delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. We welcome everyone and want everyone to feel comfortable.

Food allergies, dietary restrictions, and other specific personal needs, such as transportation requirements, are regularly accommodated. Those who want to include their children are encouraged to consider hosting a family Circle Dinner.

Please mark your calendars for the last Circle Dinner of the church year:  Saturday, May 12, 2018.

How It Works

John and Peggy Sherman will be facilitating Circle Dinners following retirement of Albany UU’s long-standing Circle Dinner facilitator extraordinaire, Martha Musser. To participate, sign up using the signup forms posted on the bulletin board in Channing Hall. Deadlines for signing up for each dinner will be publicized in Windows and the weekly announcements. If you have questions contact John at 518-669-3332 or by email at jsherman@nycap.rr.com.

John will notify hosts and guests by email (or phone) of their assignments. Each host will then coordinate their dinner by contacting their guests with directions to the host’s home, an announcement of any specific dietary restrictions, and requests for what is needed for the meal.
