Clear, calm and courageous
Compassionate and Effective Communication
Oct. 28, 9:30am to 4:30pm at Albany UU
Come learn and practice a peaceful means toward heathy relationships with Philomena Moriarty and Jan McCracken, both long-time members of Albany UU. In this workshop, we will introduce the principles and skills of nonviolent communication by learning to:
- identify and express personal needs and intentions
- identify and reflect the needs and intentions of others
- develop clarity in communication
- reduce reactivity in ourselves and others
Jan McCracken and Philomena Moriarty have been facilitating workshops and practice groups in Nonviolent Communication for several years. As a way to promote peaceful relationships, the practice was founded by Marshall Rosenberg in the 1960’s and is still used throughout the world. https://www.cnvc.org
