Getting to Know UU

We invite you to join us Saturday, June 1 for “Getting to Know UU”. This orientation for newcomers is from 8:45 a.m. to noon. We’ll start with coffee and snacks and getting to know each other. You’ll learn about Unitarian Universalism and about our congregation, and you’ll get a chance to ask all the questions you’ve been collecting. We’ll talk about how to get involved in the Albany UU community and about becoming a member. All in all, it’s a fun morning of conversation and fellowship, and a pleasant first step on the path to membership!

“Attending the Getting to Know AUU was a really great experience for me.  It was a chance to learn more about the congregation and history of Unitarian Universalism.  More than that, it was a chance to spend time with a member who was engaged in learning about me and what brought me to the meeting.  This was helpful when I began attending Sunday services because there was a familiar face in the crowd which always helped me feel more comfortable going on Sunday mornings.” Ashley K.
