Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation
Led by member Anny Lapinski, this course will provide you with the basics and more about mindfulness and meditation. You will learn hands-on practice and participate in guided meditations and interactive discussions on the topics we’ll be covering including mindfulness of emotions and feelings, working with our thoughts and beliefs and loving kindness and compassion for ourselves and others. The course opens the door to more effectively dealing with life’s challenges, building resiliency and inviting ease into everyday life. Students are encouraged to incorporate mindfulness and meditation practices into their days as the course proceeds. There will be a few short reading assignments provided to the students.
The course meets once a week for 1.5 hours for 4 weeks on Zoom. Wednesdays, Sept 21, 28 and Oct 5, 12, 6:30-8:00 PM. We ask that you make a commitment to be at all 4 sessions.
