Mindful Living for Health and Well-being (aka Mindfulness for Managing Stress)
Connect to your inner self and learn how to manage the stress of the holiday season and beyond. Scientific research increasingly reveals the importance of lifestyle for minimizing the risk of and mitigating the effects of chronic diseases including heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, etc. This 2-hour workshop introduces participants to mindfulness meditation, healthy eating, physical exercise core elements and simple chair/ standing yoga poses done without special clothing or a yoga mat. These elements of the lifestyle approach can help maintain physical health and a general sense of well-being even during challenging times. Childcare is available by advance reservation.
