Three UUs watched the film, “13th” and agreed, it is a film not to be missed. In 90 minutes there are thousands of images showing how the 13th amendment didn’t really end slavery in the US, and how corporate interests or wealthy elites continue to exploit descendants of slaves. Come to Emerson Community Hall on May 4 at 6:00 pm and we will discuss this film together over pizza and salad. Not appropriate for kids under grade 7.
