Walker Book Group

February 12, 2023 | 6:30 PM

Join the Walker Book Group via Zoom on Sunday, February 12 at 6:30 pm. If you would
like more time for socialization, please sign on to the Zoom link at 6:15. When the
weather improves, we will resume our in-person meetings, which include a potluck
supper, with a zoom option. We will continue meeting via Zoom until then. Newcomers
are always welcome.
We will discuss Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. In this elegantly written
book, Dr. Kimmerer skillfully combines her scientific knowledge with insight gained by
her native American ancestors during centuries of interaction with their environment.
This knowledge supports UUs in working to sustain the interdependent web of being to
which we all belong.
For discussion in March, we have selected Our Country Friends by Gary Shteyngart. In
April, we will discuss Homeland Elegies by Ayad Akhar.
If you have suggestions for future reads, please send them to Martha at the email address
listed below.
