Walker Book Group

Join the Walker Book Group via Zoom on Sunday, April 16 at 6:30 pm. If you would like more time for socialization, please sign on to the Zoom link at 6:15. The group usually meets on the second Sunday of the month, but we are delaying our meeting for one week to avoid conflicting with Easter Sunday. When the weather improves, we will resume our in-person meetings, which include a potluck supper, with a Zoom option. We will continue meeting via Zoom until then. Newcomers are always welcome.

We will discuss Homeland Elegies by Ayad Akhtar.  In this novel—selected by The New York Times as one of the 10 best books of 2020—Akhtar examines the failures of American policy and the coarsening of American attitudes in the years since 9/11, while acknowledging the longing of American Muslims to be accepted as Americans.
