Fall Sunday Morning RE Groups- beginning 10/3/21!

Prek-6th Grade will be engaging with our monthly themed Soul Matters curriculum. This year’s themes include:

October:  Cultivating Relationship
November:  Holding History
December:  Opening to Joy
January:  Living with Intention
February:  Widening the Circle
March:  Renewing Faith
April: Awakening
May:  Nurturing Beauty
June:  Celebrating Blessings

7th & 8th Grade will be reading and discussing some amazing graphic novels, featuring the experiences of often-marginalized and oppressed groups in our Graphic Novel Book Club. We’ll be starting with the “March” trilogy by by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin.

9th Grade will be offered the opportunity to participate in the Coming of Age Program, which is intended as a fun way for youth to explore and express their own individual sense of religious identity in a supportive atmosphere, and find ways to live out their identity and values in their everyday life and the world at large.

10th-12th Grade will again be guided by Lead Youth Advisor Tracey Hickey. Youth Group is also available for any interested 9th grader, however some meetings for Coming of Age and Youth Group will take place at the same time.

Registration is required for participation in RE this year, so that we can plan the safest possible in-person and online environments for children, youth, volunteers and staff. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding! Register here.

Sunday Evening Family Chapel- beginning 10/3/21!

Children, youth and families are invited to a short, online Family Chapel most Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm. We’ll light the chalice, hear a story, do a meditation and check in with each other.

Please register or email Elizabeth for access.

We want your child’s experience with RE to be as positive as possible. Contact Acting DRE Elizabeth Baldes at dre@albanyuu.org if there is anything we can do to support you, your child, or your family.
