The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

Volunteer service to our congregation and our community is part of our Unitarian Universalist ethic. UUs live their faith by doing.
Growth Through Service is about tapping into what connects you to Albany UU. We want to learn about you so that we can help you connect and collaborate in ways that mean the most to you. And we want to celebrate all that you bring to Albany UU. Sign up for a conversation with a Growth Through Service volunteer.
Whether you have unlimited time to share or can only help an hour or so every month or two, there are many ways to serve Albany UU and our larger community.
Volunteering to assist with Sunday Hospitality is a wonderful way to meet people:
- Greeters welcome visitors and members to church.
- Welcome Table volunteers assist visitors.
- Ushers assist before and during the worship service.
- Coffee hour hosts facilitate our gathering after the service in Channing Hall.
