What is Unitarian Universalism?
Unitarian Universalism is a faith tradition centered not on shared doctrine, but on shared values and a commitment to living those values together in community.
Rooted historically in Christianity, today we are people of many beliefs, backgrounds, identities, and spiritual practices.
What connects us is not a creed, but a shared commitment to love, justice, compassion, curiosity, and care for one another.
Beyond Creed
A Different Way of Being Religious
Unitarian Universalism does not ask people to set aside their questions, doubts, or individuality. Instead, we explore spiritual questions together through worship, service, learning, reflection, relationships, and action in the world.
We also believe religious community requires practice. We strive to listen with openness, treat one another with respect, and stay connected through disagreement and change. We do not expect perfection from one another, but we do believe in showing up with honesty, compassion, and a willingness to grow together.
This is not always easy. But this is our practice, and we learn and grow together as we build Beloved Community.
A Faith for the Real World
Unitarian Universalism calls us not only to reflect on what we believe, but to consider how we live.
And we do this together, supporting and caring for each other. We seek to build communities where people feel seen, valued, and connected while working toward a more just and compassionate world.
You don’t have to go it alone.
