Albany UU Solar Project
Albany UU became a solar energy site in 2013 with the installation of rooftop solar panels on church buildings.
The project significantly reduced the congregation’s carbon footprint and reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and renewable energy.

SHARE Partnership
Albany UU members helped found the Sheridan Hollow Alliance for Renewable Energy (SHARE) in 2017 in response to a proposed fossil fuel expansion project in Albany’s Sheridan Hollow neighborhood.
SHARE brings together community members and partners working for a renewable energy future and environmental justice in the Capital Region. Albany UU members remain actively involved in this ongoing work.
SHARE now focuses on advancing the Renewable Capital Act and supporting efforts to transition New York’s Capitol complex to clean, renewable energy.



Legislative Advocacy
GST supports local and statewide efforts focused on climate action, renewable energy, and environmental justice. Members engage in education, public witness, and advocacy in partnership with regional and statewide organizations.
