Pam Collins and Reverend Linda Hoddy will discuss the use of religious language at Albany UU. We often wrestle with this question in choosing words for sermons, readings, music, and sometimes in classes. Pam takes the position that we should encourage spirituality but forgo the word God. Rev. Linda takes the position that we are constraining people’s religious and spiritual experience by curtailing religious speech. Music will be provided by Randy Rosette. For the Prelude she’ll play a “Song Without Words”, and other music will range from classical hymns to jazz. Come and hear!
