Democracy

American Unitarian Universalism has its roots in democracy. How did this happen? As we begin this month of exploring our heritage, we will reflect on our history, This service will explore issues of spirituality and control in the context of congregational polity, trust, roles and relationships, and decision making. It will also offer thoughts on distributing power so together we create a healthy, vital, growing congregation. This theme may seem secular but it has everything to do with what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist. At this time of transition both congregationally and in American society let us come together to celebrate and explore.
