Lessons and Legacy

Rev. Sam has learned more than a few lessons of the 24 years of his ministry. He would like to share a few of them and share his hopes about the way his ministry in Albany will be remembered.

Shaping and Being Shaped

Parenting, in whatever configuration it happens, involves offering guidance and support to another who is growing and developing.

Democracy

American Unitarian Universalism has its roots in democracy. How did this happen? As we begin this month of exploring our heritage, we will reflect on our history, This service will explore issues of spirituality and control in the context of congregational polity, trust, roles and relationships, and decision making. It will also offer thoughts on distributing power so together we create a healthy, vital, growing congregation. This theme may seem secular but it has everything to do with what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist. At this time of transition both congregationally and in American society let us come together to celebrate and explore.
